River's family is working every day to give her the support, therapy, and opportunities she needs to thrive.
Before River was born, her family learned she had Aicardi Syndrome and significant brain malformations. The diagnosis brought many unknowns, but River continues to meet each day with determination, strength, and joy.
Her family works tirelessly to give her access to therapies that support her development. Intensive therapy with Dr. Crawford at NeuroSolutions has been especially meaningful, and the progress River has made through these treatments is remarkable.
Each week-long NeuroSolutions intensive costs about $10,000 and is not covered by insurance. River's next intensive is scheduled for the end of September, and the goal is to make that opportunity possible.
River also participates in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) through a local Oklahoma clinic. DMI helps her build strength, improve movement patterns, and continue making meaningful gains. These therapy blocks cost about $3,500 per month, with three intensives typically scheduled each year.
